The NAME Annual Conference is a national forum for professionals working in education and/or health care and related fields. The conference provides a unique opportunity to network with colleagues and similar professionals in the field of School Based Health at the Local, State and Federal levels.
Our national conference provides an opportunity for professional development with the latest information in research, experience and best practices for Medicaid in Education. When attending our conferences you will hear presentations on topics in areas such as:
Medicaid reimbursement to schools
Compliance with school-based Medicaid billing and audit requirements
Innovative ways to provide and pay for school health services and related services for students with disabilities
Potential health care legislation changes and the relationship to Medicaid in Education
The Sunshine State is Calling Your NAME. The 2017 Conference Committee is busy planning a very productive, engaging, and fun experience for all those who hear their NAME being called to participate.
This years conference will be held in sunny, South Florida, where you can enjoy the fresh ocean breeze and beautiful sunrise, while networking and communicating with others.
Fort Lauderdale is a city on Florida's southeastern coast, which is known for its beaches and boating canals. The city is embraced by the Atlantic Ocean, New River and an array of scenic inland waterways- known as the "Venice of America".
This 15th Annual Conference will offer you beautiful scenery in this fun-in-the-sun city and a desire for new information that will motivate you to take what you learn and put it into action back home in your school based health service program.
Click below for the preliminary program for the conference.
The National Alliance for Medicaid in Education (NAME), Inc., invites you to expand your participation in our Medicaid in Education community by becoming a 2017 sponsor. The sponsor levels and corresponding benefits remain the same as they were in 2016.
NAME's purpose is to provide leadership; promote integrity, collaboration and success; and facilitate a network to share information among our members. Our membership represents state Medicaid and education agencies, as well as local education agency staff with programmatic responsibility for administering Medicaid claiming for health-related special education services and Medicaid administrative activities performed by public schools. We are a steadily growing national not-for-profit organization that has built its reputation on providing timely, accurate, and valid information from the highest quality sources.
You are in for a mighty challenge … to discover the vast expanse of Florida’s Intracoastal Waterway and the city of Fort Lauderdale as you go in search of odd objects, interesting facts and hidden locales on our own private double decker charter. Work together as a team or on your own, or just come along for the ride. We will be looking for objects along the waterway at stops #1 and #4 (Las Olas Riverfront and the Shops at Las Olas) and at stop#8 (Beach Place).
The 15th Annual NAME Conference Committee has selected the Broward County Homeless Education Assistance Resource Team (HEART) as the recipient of this year’s Silent Auction proceeds at the conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The goal of HEART is to ensure the removal of barriers that often prevent students in transitional (experiencing homelessness) living situations from enrolling, attending and succeeding in school.
